Dental Services
The Dental Service provides dental care for vulnerable people and emergency or urgent dental care to anyone not currently under treatment with a dentist locally. The team consists of dentists, dental therapists, dental hygienists and dental nurses.
Dermatology Service
The Dermatology Service provides specialist nurse led clinics for the diagnosis and treatment of specific skin conditions.
Developmental Readiness for Solids
Baby led weaning - when to start, getting ready for solids, first foods, finger foods, nutritious snacks, foods to avoid.
Diabetes Team
In the South Division, there are dedicated teams of staff (based in Cannock Chase, Seisdon and East Staffordshire) who specialise in the care and treatment of people with Diabetes with a Consultant Diabetologist also based in Stafford.
Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Service
Diabetic Retinopathy is caused when diabetes affects the small blood vessels in the retina, the part of the eye that acts rather like a film in a camera. It is the most common cause of sight loss in people of working age and it is estimated that every year in England 4,200 people are at risk of blindness caused by diabetic retinopathy.

Dietetics is the interpretation and communication of the science of nutrition to enable people to make informed and practical choices about food and lifestyle, in both health and disease.
District Nursing Service
Our philosophy is to provide a quality service to patients and carers through use of holistic assessment, use of evidence based practice and working within a multidisciplinary team. District Nursing Service - About Us
District Nurses provide a service for predominantly housebound adults over the age of 18 years with a health care need. The service provides a comprehensive range of treatments and education that enable an individual to avoid unnecessary admission to hospital, or where hospitalisation is necessary, to facilitate an early discharge back into their community.

The service helps patients who need a variety of primary health care services in the day, evening and during the night across both the urban and rural parts of the county.
DVT Screening
Patients with suspected DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) can now be treated in a community setting including at the Leek Minor Injuries and Illnesses Unit and at Lyme Valley Practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
