Importance notice - Parking June 2015

Please be aware that maintenance resurfacing work is planned to take place on the lower car park at Bradwell Hospital from 13 June 2015. This planned maintenance work is anticipated to take 6 weeks (affected car parking spaces are expected to re-open on 27 July).

During this period of time patients and people visiting the hospital wards, out-patient appointments and walk-in phlebotomy department may experience difficulty parking on site. Please leave additional time to find suitable parking.

Bradwell Hospital

Bradwell Hospital has three wards and 73 beds. 

Bennion Ward

General Information 

Rehabilitation and Assessment- offering short term stay for rehabilitation and assessment of long term needs 

Number of beds: 21 (2 female bays and 1 male bay with 4 side rooms)

About Bennion Ward: 
 
Bennion ward has a multi-disciplinary focus and a philosophy to promote independence for individuals. Patients come for a short stay in order to undergo programmes of rehabilitation and assessment of their longer term care needs.
 
Patients are generally transferred from local acute hospitals for step down care however some patients can be admitted to the ward directly from home for step up care.
 

Oak Ward

General Information 

Intermediate Care- offering short term stay for rehabilitation/nursing care

Number of beds: 21 (2 female bays and 1 male bay with 4 side rooms)

About Oak Ward: 

Oak Ward has a multi-disciplinary focus and a philosophy to promote independence for individuals. Patients come for a short stay in order to undergo programmes of rehabilitation and care. This ward receives patients on neck of femur pathways and from many other specialities e.g. post-acute medical, post-surgery, etc.

Patients are generally transferred from local acute hospitals for step down care however some patients can be admitted to the ward directly from home for step up care.

 

Sycamore Ward

General Information 

Palliative Care and Complex Assessment- offering short term stay for care and assessment of long term needs

Number of beds: 22 (2 female bays and 1 male bay. 3 side rooms, 1 which is used for day case blood transfusions and supportive therapies.)

About Sycamore Ward:

Sycamore ward has 22 beds for rehabilitation and assessment and supportive therapies bed i.e. blood transfusions, venesection – and provides services for adult patients requiring intermediate care including:

  • Rehabilitation
  • Holistic Quality Care
  • Palliative Care
  • Nutrition
  • Oral care
  • Wound care
  • Stroke care
  • Diabetes care
  • Discharge planning
