Healthy Kid5
Healthy Kid5
Our focus is to help and support children aged 5 – 16 and their families to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle through:
- Dietary support and advice to improve eating behaviour
- Physical activity sessions and advice to encourage exercise participation and enjoyment
The programme is interactive and designed for both child and parent to gain advice and support while having fun in a friendly environment.
Parents and carers are encouraged to be:
- Actively involved in the weekly sessions
- Supportive
- Committed to attending the full weekly programme along with their child and attending all follow up appointments afterwards
We can help you by:
- Providing help and support on how you and your family can adopt a healthier lifestyle and make smarter health choices
- Help you assess your current lifestyle, working with you and your family to set goals that are achievable and tailored to your needs
- Providing group and one to one sessions that will help keep you and your family motivated and on the right path to better health
- Providing a friendly, safe and supportive environment for you and your family to meet new friends and achieve your personal goals while having fun
Our service is free and confidential and is provided by dietician school nurses, physical activity advisors and support workers.
